This year’s masters events at the Allam British Open Championships in Hull in May are expected to attract the strongest ever entry to the prestigious tournament.
With four weeks to go until entries close on April 22, 10 nations from as far afield as Canada and Australia are already represented in categories ranging from Over 35 to Over 75.
It is hoped the tournament will eventually draw 300 players from around the world to battle it out for the honour of becoming a British Open champion.
The University of Hull and their fantastic squash facilities will play host to the masters players from May 13th to 17th, running alongside the PSA and WSA world series events that start at the University on May 9th before moving across the East Yorkshire city to the Airco Arena.
In a move designed to enhance the status and exposure of the masters championships, England Squash & Racketball have announced that the men’s O35 final will be held on the ASB glass showcourt at the Airco Arena prior to the main women’s and men’s finals on Sunday May 17th.
