The 2013 Allam British Open is more than just a squash tournament, not only will the event attract the world’s best male and female players to Hull but it will also provide an opportunity for everyone to get involved in an world renowned international sporting event.
Next year facilities and partners from the Yorkshire region will play their part in helping to bring the greatest and most iconic squash event to Yorkshire.
The British Open Masters event will take place between 22-26 May at the University of Hull, a thriving sporting university where England Squash & Racketball are investing capital funds to help re-develop the squash facilities and to create a state of the art modern sporting environment. Forsyth Business Centres, one of the UK’s longest established providers of serviced offices and flexible workspace are the official partner to the British Open Masters event.
Commenting on Forsyth’s sponsorship of the Masters, Director Scott McCabe said: “We are absolutely delighted to be able to partner the Masters in 2013, particularly as the Tournament comes to Yorkshire, where, via our network of regional Centres in Sheffield, Leeds, York, Harrogate and Scarborough, we will be able to further enhance the profile of this fantastic sport.”

Masters players ranging from over 35’s to over 80’s are expected from all over the world to take part in this prestigious event with entries opening in the New Year.
Pontefract Squash Club, home to current world number one James Willstrop will host the PSA & WSA qualification events between 18-20 May as well as the women’s first round on the 21 May before the main draws move to the fantastic KC Stadium in Hull.
Following the resounding success of the Pre-Qualification event in London last season, the 2013 Allam British Open Pre-Qualification is coming back even bigger and better, giving more people the chance to take part in the British Open. Four venues across the country will host the Pre-Qualification events in late April with full details to be announced in January.
