WSA have confirmed that all of the top thirty world ranked female players have now committed to participate in The Allam British Open, the most prestigious and iconic squash championship on the world calendar.
World No1 and 7 times World Champion Nicol David is back to defend the crown she won last year at London’s O2 Arena and will start as top seed as she aims for a fantastic fifth British Open title.
Fresh from her stunning win in the KL Open last week, including a great win over Nicol David, Lancashire’s World No2 Laura Massaro will be confident of mounting a serious challenge to get her hands on the illustrious British Open title.
England will be well represented throughout the draw with no fewer than 5 other players in the main draw including Alison Waters and Jenny Duncalf, world ranked No4 and 8 respectively both of which are very capable of going all the way to the final.
The event, which takes place at the KC Stadium in Hull between 20-26 May, is the first squash tournament ever to be held within a football stadium and one of the most prestigious sporting events ever to be staged in Hull.
Tickets are selling fast but there is still time to secure your seat to watch the very best male and female players fight it for one of the biggest prizes in sport.
